Community Impact reports that each individual school district—Conroe, Montgomery and Willis—make available a large variety of Career and Technical Education programs focused on individual students. An official framework of 14 separate CTE career clusters has been set by the Texas Education Agency. There are differences on the way each district operates.
Montgomery ISD has a centralized CTE program called The Den where students are bused in. The Den is a result of a $326.9 million bond approved in May of 2022. In August of 2025, the facility was complete.
There is no centralized facility for Conroe ISD’s CTE program, as it is spread across the district in various school facilities. A $653.5 million bond in 2019 was used to fund several upgrades throughout the school district, CTE programs and facilities were included in the funding. A $10.5 million part of the bond was used by CISD to build a new South County CTE Center for Oak Ridge and Grand Oaks High School.
Back in 2015, Willis ISD passed a bond package for $109.5 million for funding several new infrastructure projects. A $39.4 million CTE center, completed in 2018, was one of these projects.
