In Huntsville Police news, looking back over the past several days:
Last Wednesday, Huntsville PD assisted University PD in the 1200 block of Josey Street with locating and arresting a wanted person. In the 200 block of I-45, a known suspect assaulted two people. In the 200 block of Normal Park, a known juvenile was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
On Thursday, two thefts were reported—one in the 200 block of I-45 North, the other in the 100 block of I-45 South. A vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1200 block of Josey Street. In a 911/hangup call in the 200 block of Boettcher Mills a known suspect entered the victim’s residence and committed assault while interfering with an emergency.
On Friday, a theft was reported in the 2400 block of Lake Road. In the 100 block of Essex Boulevard in a terroristic threat call, a known suspect threatened the complainant. A possibly known suspect possessed narcotics in the 100 block of I-45 South. Two known suspects damaged a residence in the 300 block of Smith Hill Road.
On Saturday, in the 300 block of Smith Hill Road, a known suspect threatened a person with a firearm. A person was assaulted by an unknown suspect in the 100 block of I-45 South. A person’s unlocked vehicle was burglarized in the 2500 block of Lake Road. A purse and firearm were found in the 200 block of I-45 South. A theft was reported in the 200 block of I-45 South. In the 2400 block of Lake Road, a dating couple touched each other in an offensive matter. In the 1300 block of State Highway 75 North, Anthony Goerke was arrested for assault in family violence. At the 113 mile marker on I-45 South, Lam To was arrested for money laundering. In San Jacinto County, Huntsville PD assisted the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Department with a vehicle stolen at gunpoint. The vehicle was later located in Hayes County.
On Sunday, an unknown suspect stole a catalytic converter in the 200 block of Gail Lane. In the 2400 block of Boettcher Boulevard, a known suspect caused injury to a child. On Varsity Drive, known suspects sexually assaulted a victim. In a shots fired call, in the 900 block of Thomason Street, Jose Mendoza Cortez was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
