In Huntsville Police news, looking back over the past couple of days . . . .
On Friday, Several Thefts were reported. In the 200 block of FM 247 a known suspect stole money from a victim by fraudulent means. Two bicycles were stolen—one in the 2100 block of Sycamore Avenue and the other in the 1000 block of 21st Street. In the 200 block of I-45 South, two unknown suspects stole from Target. In the 2500 block of Lake Road, an unknown suspect used fraud to steal from a person. In the 100 block of I-45 South, Nakia Ashley was arrested for criminal trespass and theft with two previous convictions. In the 600 block of I-45 North, Christopher Watson was arrested for a TDCJ parole warrant.
On Saturday, a known suspect criminally trespassed in the 2800 block of Lake Road. Three assaults were investigated: two known suspects assaulted one another in the 1600 block of Sycamore, a known suspect assaulted the complainant in the 300 block of Smith Hill Road and two unknown suspects assaulted a person at Avenue M and 7th Street. William Shanklin was arrested for theft with two previous convictions. He was later arrested for three criminal arrest warrants.
On Sunday, in a case of terroristic threat, reported from 1000 Airport Drive, an unknown suspect called in a bomb threat. In the 3000 block of Sam Houston Avenue, a known person assault another by impeding breath. In the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue, an unknown suspect scammed a victim out of money. In the 1800 block of State Highway 30 East, one known suspect and three unknown suspects forced entry into a coin-operated machine and took money. In the 200 block of I-45 South, Crystal Miller was arrested for theft with two previous convictions. In the 1600 block of Sycamore Avenue, Gary Wain Powell III was arrested for Municipal Court warrants, failure to identify as a fugitive and false information.
