Huntsville Memorial Hospital (HMH) is proud to announce it has once again earned full Hospital Accreditation from the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ). This achievement affirms that the hospital our community depends on every day continues to meet nationally recognized standards for safety, quality, and patient care.
For local families, this accreditation means something simple and important: the hospital that serves Walker County is meeting the highest levels of accountability and excellence expected nationwide.
From September 30 through October 2, CIHQ conducted a rigorous, unannounced three-day survey. Their team toured every corner of the hospital, reviewed medical records, observed care processes in action, and interviewed staff, patients, and leadership. The review confirmed that HMH meets all CIHQ standards as well as the Conditions of Participation required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
