Sam Houston State University psychology professor Marcus T. Boccaccini has been named a Texas State University System Regents’ Professor, the highest academic honor bestowed by the TSUS Board of Regents.
Each year, the Board of Regents recognizes outstanding faculty whose teaching, scholarship and service exemplify excellence across the System. Recipients hold the title throughout their tenure within the System and are formally honored during the November Board of Regents meeting, where they receive a $10,000 award, commemorative medallion and Board resolution.
The designation highlights Boccaccini’s distinguished record as an educator, researcher and mentor, along with his significant contributions to SHSU and the field of psychology.
Since joining the SHSU faculty in 2003, Boccaccini has taught undergraduate, master’s and doctoral courses, consistently earning high student evaluations.
