The Huntsville Item reports that 53-year-old Brandon Daniel Furman pleaded guilty in Trinity Tuesday to first-degree aggravated assault of a child. He was sentenced to 30 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
At the time of his offense, he was employed by the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office as an animal control officer. So the child would not have to experience the embarrassing and emotional burden of testifying in open court, a plea agreement was made in consultation with the victim’s family.
