At State Representative Trey Wharton’s presentation to the Walker County Republican Women’s Club Monday, he passed a long a long list of important bills passed by the last legislative sessions.
One of the bills he talked about was a bill protecting law enforcement personnel called Operation Safe Shield regarding bullet proof glass . . . .
GLASS
The bill says: “The criminal justice division shall establish:
–eligibility criteria for grant applicants
–grant application procedures
–guidelines relating to grant amounts
–procedures for evaluating grant applications and
–procedures for monitoring the use of a grant.”
Among the many bills Representative Wharton covered in his talk were “conservative wins,” such as: $51 billion in property tax relief; ten commandments displayed in schools and $8.5 billion going to public schools.
