In the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 30,2025, multiple vehicle burglaries occurred along the US 190, FM 2296 and FM 2929 corridor with one vehicle reported stolen.
Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts between the Patrol and Investigative division of the WalkerCounty Sheriff’s Office, two suspects have been arrested.
Following interviews with both suspects, deputies recovered stolen property from these incidents as well as additional items connected to prior burglaries.
21 year old Antonio Jason Barton- Simmons was arrested for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle (State Jail Felony) and Theft of Firearm (State Jail Felony). 20 year old Lee Otis Gamble III was arrested for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle (State Jail Felony).
The Walker County Sheriff’s Office reminds all residents to remove valuables from their vehicles and to always lock vehicle doors even when parked at home. Taking a few simple precautions can significantly reduce the risk of theft and help keep our communities safe.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
