Governor Greg Abbott has issued a proclamation identifying 18 agenda items for the upcoming Special Session that begins at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 21.
Governor Abbot said, “We delivered on historic legislation in the 89th Regular Legislative Session that will benefit Texans for generations to come.” He said, “There is more work to be done, particularly in the aftermath of the devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country. We must ensure better preparation for such events in the future.”
The Special Session agenda items include:
Flood Warning Systems; Flood Emergency Communications; Relief Funding for Hill Country Floods; Natural Disaster Preparation and Recovery; Eliminating the STAAR Test; Cutting Property Taxes; Protecting Children from THC; Regulating Hemp-Derived Products; Protecting Unborn Children; Banning Taxpayer-Funded Lobbying; Protecting Human Trafficking Victims; Police Personnel Records Protection; Protecting Women’s Spaces; Attorney General Election Powers; Redistricting; Title Theft and Deed Fraud; Water Project Incentives and State Judicial Department Operations and Administration.
