“LIVING NEAR BATS” WORKSHOP AHEAD

The community is invited to a workshop on Living Near Bats this Saturday, May 17^th, from 8 AM to 5 PM at the Walker County Storm Shelter in Huntsville. The free event will include presentations on bats native to Texas, trivia with “batty” prizes, children’s activities and professional development. Workshop hosts include Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Bat Conservation International and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Huntsville is currently home to a colony of Mexican free-tailed bats. Other kinds of bats live throughout our region.
