KBTX Channel 3 reports that two more Huntsville ISD employees are facing criminal charges.
On Thursday, Cheerleading Coach Lauren Rudolph at Huntsville High School was taken into custody and charged with improper relationship between educator and student. The offense dates back to May 1 of 2023 according to Walker County Jail records. A spokesperson for Huntsville ISD has said the district was already investigating her before she recently resigned from her position.
Also arrested recently was 57-year-old Huntsville ISD employee James Blasingime. He faces a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to online records, for an alleged offense that occurred in May 2018. A spokesperson for the district said Blasingime was hired in 2018, but there were no known allegations on records in relation to this matter. The allegations for the incident are unrelated to Huntsville ISD.
Huntsville ISD Public information officer Shannon Hollis said, “Upon learning of the arrest, the district took immediate action to ensure that Mr. Blasingime did not return to the workplace.”
