Community Impact has reported on transportation projects underway or planned in Montgomery County.
Highway 105 is being reconstructed and widened from two to four lanes from 10th Street to South Loop 336. Construction will continue through the third quarter of 2027 at a cost of $52.35 million.
Between FM 830 and FM 1097 in Willis, I-45 is undergoing a northbound ramp reversal. Construction will continue through the second quarter of 2025 at a cost of $3.17 million.
Between South Loop 336 to FM 1484, Highway 105 is being widened and reconstructed from two to four lanes. Construction will continue through the third quarter of 2027 at a cost of $89.88 million.
On Highway 242 between FM 1488 and I-45, TxDOT is using an existing right of way to widen lanes and restripe intersections. Construction will continue to the first quarter of 2026 at a cost of $29.11 million.
The construction of a flyover from northbound I-45 to eastbound Highway 242 is being funded by Montgomery County commissioners and TxDOT. Per the most recent update of October 2, the TxDOT project tracker listed the project as ready to bid back on September 1st. The amount spent on project engineering and construction was $268,054. Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2024 at a cost of $19.1 million.
