Development continues in Montgomery and Montgomery County. The Courier of Montgomery County reports J. Alan Kent Development has announced that over 1,000 single-family residential homes will be coming to 411 acres of land on FM 1097 near Lake Conroe.
Details of cost, a timeline and amenities are not, as of yet, set. It is expected to attract more students zoned to Montgomery ISD.
The controller for the Newcor real estate agency Himanshu Amin said delivery of the first section of lots could be “easily 12 to 15 months.” He said the project will take about ten years to complete.
Amin said there will be a “variety” of lot sizes in the neighborhood of 50 to 80 foot lots. They will also have commercial land available for vendors.
The feasibility for a new H-E-B location was discussed by the Montgomery City Council back in March. City documents say the store itself will be located on 32 acres of land off of Texas 105. They will build on only 16 acres of the land with a car wash and gas station included.
Located southeast of of Montgomery is the 3,000-acre master planned development off of Fish Creek Throughfare, Woodforest Community, that has experienced growth—the recent being a 400-acre park that is planned.
Back in July of 2023, a 4,000 home development was announced to be built between Conroe, Magnolia and Montgomery.
