The Courier of Montgomery County reports that on Thursday, the 2024 Montgomery County Fair opens in Conroe for a ten-day stretch through April 21st.
Last year, more than 75,000 people attended the event.
The Fairgrounds are located at 9333 Airport Road in Conroe. Parking areas include the south end of the fair near Airport Parkway and Airport Road and on the fair’s north side at Carl Pickering Memorial Drive. Friday through Sunday there is a $5 parking fee.

On the first day of the 10-day fair, Senior Citizen’s Day will get underway. It happens at the Lone Star Convention Center at 9 AM.
On Friday at 6 PM at the Woodforest Bank arena, the Cowboy’s Professional Rodeo Association will take place. Jason Boland & The Stragglers, a country band, will play for the fair crowd following the rodeo. The admission cost will also cover the cost of the concert admission.
The rodeo will also get underway on Saturday night at 6 PM. The winner of the 2013 “The Voice” award, Danielle Bradbery will be featured in a concert on the rodeo grounds.
