The Huntsville Item reports that thirty-year-old Nicolas Allen, who has been sent to the Walker County Jail several times because of arrests, was recently found guilty of Assault Causing Bodily Injury of a Family or Household member with an earlier conviction in 278th District Court.
On the last day of testimony in his trial, Allen did not come back to court following a break for lunch. The trial continued while a warrant for Allen’s arrest was issued.
Following a several month search, he was arrested on October 3rd in Zapata County and transported to Walker County. On October 26th, a sentencing hearing was held for Allen. Judge Hal R. Ridley gave him a maximum of 20 years in prison. Allen was still in the Walker County Jail this week.
