At the last regular session of the Huntsville City Council, the council considered authorizing the City Manager to enter into a development agreement with Watson-Cordone Development Group for the construction of Pine Shadows extension from Hickory to the I-45 North frontage road.
City Manager Aron Kulhavy addressed the council on the matter:
Mr. Kulhavy added that, “The developer would be responsible for constructing the road and also building an apartment complex.” He also said, “The developer would make the payments and contract out for all the services, and the City would reimburse them for 50 percent of the road and 100 percent for the drainage structure.”Councilmember Jon Strong made an amendment to the motion to cap the drainage cost at $420,000. Councilmembers approved.
