The Montgomery County Courier passed along several reasons why a visit to Montgomery County is worth the trip.
In the past several years, new shops, bars and restaurants have come to fruition in the downtown area.
Interesting facilities to take in include the Conroe Art Leagues’ Gallery at the Madeley, the old Creighton Theatre, the Owen theatre, the Ferm Meadery, the Fass Brewery and B.E. Winery.
Opening to the public in 2023, are the Small Town Famous vintage Western boutique, the Kofe Num Pang coffee shop, TX vintage Bar & Grill and the Driskill Conroe Antiques and Home Décor shop.
Lake Conroe offers a number of good restaurants and spectacular homes. Of course, camping, boating and fishing is a big attraction.
In the spring, the Montgomery County Fair offers rodeos, concerts by top performers and a Barbecue Cook-off.
The Sam Houston National Forest boasts 163,037 acres featuring camping and recreational trails.
Jones State Forest on FM 1488 is a great area for bird watching.
Lake Conroe at Margarita Lake Resort offers waterfront cottages, over 300 suites, the Landshark Bar & Grill, the License to Chill restaurant and the Boathouse Bar and Lounge. They also feature a golf course, spa and pool.
And don’t forget, shopping in the Woodlands Town Center, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and their exceptional Fourth of July presentation in the Woodlands.
