At this week’s regular session of the Huntsville City Council, a Second Reading was held to change the Development District Classification of the approximate 86.56 acre tract of land adjacent to the 150 block of FM 247 from Management to Planned Development and to consider the Iconic Homes Concept Plan for the planned development. The plan is for smaller than usual lots and 480 affordable homes, with an average cost of $175,000.
City Planner Armon Irones explained what a PD or Planned Development is:
Mr. Irones said, “There is an approval criteria for the PD in step one. There are five components to that approval criteria.”
The Second Reading was approved. Step 2 is next.
