Earlier, we passed along to our listeners in our news about Gulf Coast Center juveniles who had broken into the U-S Forest Ranger Station on June 30th. Walker County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated and also learned that the juveniles had stolen a Forest Service vehicle.
Three Gulf Coast Center runaways who were involved are now in custody and being detained after a vehicle pursuit with Bellaire Police Department on Thursday July 6th. Walker County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are working with Bellaire Police Detectives and at this time believe the three suspects have stolen a total of three different vehicles.
Two juveniles were taken to Harris County Juvenile Detention Center for Evading Arrest/Detention.
and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm. Seventeen-year-old Jushawn Evans was booked into the Harris County Jail on a warrant out of Nebraska.
Walker County Sheriff’s Office Detectives have charged the juveniles with Burglary of a Building (State Jail Felony) and Theft of Property (State Jail Felony) and foresee additional charges to come, not to include, additional jurisdictional charges.
