At Walker County Commissioners’ Court this week, County EMS Director Rachel Parker addressed commissioners on updated event standby policy, pricing and procedures.
She informed commissioners, “We do a lot of standbys—some of them are dedicated some are not. So, I put together a packet on what we would like to hand out when somebody calls and says I need a dedicated ambulance for this event.” She mentioned they cover events like “UIL, collegiate events, things like that where they are required to have an ambulance on site for the duration of their event.”
She said, “This will be on file with our office. We haven’t really had this in place yet. Everything was just kind of a casual agreement from my understanding, so this will be really good on the legal side of it, as well.
She said, “As far as PR events…”
Commissioners approved the updated policy.
