At the last regular Walker County Commissioners’ Court session, a workshop was held to discuss the County’s policy on the acceptance of roads and how to manage new roads in the future.
We asked Commissioner Bill Daugette to update us. He told us, “In the past, the County has always accepted pretty much every road built when times were slow. But now that the growth is speeding up, we’re kind of having to look at the long term forecast of how we’re going to maintain these roads.”
Commissioner Daugette said more research on the issue will be done.
