Community Impact reports that an update on Conroe’s economy, technology and industrial parks as well as future projects was presented on May 8th by the Executive Director of the Conroe Economic Development Council Danielle Scheiner at their economic forum,
The council is funded by a $.015 sales tax for economic development that Conroe voters approved back in 1994.
Conroe comes in at No. 2 from 2010-2020 in America in the top ten fastest growing U.S. large cities.
Conroe experienced a 71.2% population growth from 2010 to 2020.
Conroe’s 4,945 businesses employ 47,149 people.
Scheiner passed along that North Park is now at 98 percent capacity—a total of 1,655 acres, or 98% of the land is under a contract or has been sold. There is additional space for projects at the Deison Technology Park. They have 248 acres for purchase.
