The Montgomery County Courier reports that in 2025, as Montgomery ISD initiates the opening of it’s new $61.6 million career and technical education center, students will be able to enroll in ten programs.
A plan is underway to open the district’s $21.3 million agriculture science center at the same time. In fact, the two new buildings will be next to each other on nearly 34 acres north of the city on Lone Star Parkway. The two projects were included in a $326 million May 2022 bond package.
Back on March 9th, trustees got together in a workshop meeting on design for the career and technical facility. A variety of programs will be under instruction including welding, audio and video production, criminal justice, robotics and engineering, health science, construction, automotive and culinary arts.
Director of the district’s career and technical education department, Amy Vance, said the CTE Center is being constructed to permit any changes in programming interests.
