This month you can celebrate the birthday of Sam Houston’s wife, Margaret Moffette Lea Houston, with the Sam Houston Memorial Museum and Republic of Texas Presidential Library. The event will be held April 11th from 10 AM to 2 PM. Cake and lemonade will be provided. The museum staff will be at the Woodland Home talking about Margaret’s Life, particularly while here in Huntsville and what she did in her pastime, like quilting and sewing. There will also be a letter writing demonstration.
There will be free adminssion to the museum, as well.
