Community Impact reports that following a March 28th meeting a master plan for the Montgomery County Precinct #2 Fish Creek Regional Park is in progress after the Commissioner’s Court okayed a professional services agreement with Burditt Consultants. The matter was approved during the court’s Consent Agenda.
According to Precinct #2’s website, the park will be located off the Fish Creek thoroughfare and take in 391 acres near the Woodforest community.
The agenda packet revealed that the park may include a hiking and equestrian trail, a community center, a nature and outdoor education center, a maintenance facility, sports fields and other amenities. The packet also shows that the County will pay Burditt $55,828 for developing the park’s master plan. The plan would include a review of site conditions, a consideration of alternative designs and a report on likely costs.
