Walker County Commissioners met for a regular session Monday at the courthouse.
County EMS Director Rachel Parker addressed commissioners on installing a new important electrical outlet at their Administrative Office.
She said, “We’ve updated our narcotic system’s tracking inventory. So, with that came a new safe that will go in our administrative offices to replace the current safe that we’re using for our narcotics safe.” She also said, “With that, we have to have for narcotics two locks at all times. There currently are, but our gun safe does not track narcotics in-and-out.”
She said she called Fire Chief Mathis, and he approved it, but they would have to pay for it. Ms. Parker said she received a $750 quote from McCaffety Electric. Funding will be coming from the Maintenance Fund. Commissioners approved the installation.
