KHOU TV reports that New Waverly ISD has approved a new four-day school week.
The plan was approved by their Board of Trustees by giving the okay to a new hybrid calendar for their next school year. Students and teachers would be taking Friday off.
In a letter, Superintendent Darol Hall said the District will test the four-day week during the next three years and implement adjustments as necessary.
