Texas country music takes center stage this Sunday, November 8, as the Texas Country Music Awards celebrate their 10th anniversary at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth.
Aaron Watson, Josh Ward, Josh Weathers, William Beckmann, and William Clark Green are finalists for Entertainer of the Year. Wynn Williams will headline the show, with performances also from Brandon Rhyder, Kylie Frey, and others.
There’s also a connection to Huntsville’s live music calendar. Bottomland is nominated for “Band of the Year,” and Max Stalling is a finalist for “Americana Artist” or “Band of the Year.” Both have local shows this month.
Max and Heather Stalling will perform at Old Town Theatre on Friday, November 13. Bottomland follows with a November 20 stop at The Jolly Fox. Depending on how Sunday goes, Huntsville could welcome an award winner—or two.
The awards cap off Texas Country Music Weekend in the Fort Worth Stockyards, with music and activities running November 6–8. For fans here at home, Sunday’s results will give a couple of upcoming local shows another reason to keep an eye on the calendar.
