If you’ve heard Max Stalling on KSAM, here’s a chance to catch him live close to home. Max and his wife, Heather, will perform at Old Town Theatre in downtown Huntsville on Friday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m.
Max took an interesting road into Texas music. Originally from Southwest Texas, he earned a master’s degree from Texas A&M and worked as a research scientist at Frito-Lay before pursuing songwriting full-time. Since then, he’s built a loyal following for his storytelling and clever lyrics, earning a star on the South Texas Music Walk of Fame along the way.
Heather has a strong musical background. An award-winning fiddler, she grew up competing in fiddle contests and later performed with Cory Morrow, Bob Schneider, and Johnny Lee. She also helped form “blacktopGYPSY,” contributing songwriting, fiddle, guitar, and harmony vocals. Together, Max and Heather bring years of Texas music experience to the stage.
We’re fortunate to have a place like Old Town Theatre bringing these artists to Huntsville. If you’re looking for a night out, grab dinner downtown and head over for an evening of Texas songwriting and live music. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Old Town Theatre is located at 1023 12th Street. Tickets start at $25 before applicable fees and are available through the official ticket page (events.outhousetickets.com).
