Texas country favorites Eli Young Band will help kick off the 2026 season of Longhorn City Limits on Saturday, September 5, ahead of the Texas Longhorns’ season opener against Texas State.
The free concert will take place on the LBJ Lawn in Austin as part of the popular pregame tradition. Gates open at 10 a.m., with the Graham St. Clair Bandtaking the stage at 11 a.m. Eli Young Band is scheduled to perform at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Eli Young Band has been a fixture in Texas country music for more than two decades, with a long list of fan favorites including “Crazy Girl,” “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” “Drunk Last Night,” “Love Ain’t,” “Dust,” and “Always the Love Songs.”“Crazy Girl” became the No. 1 country song of 2011 and earned the band Song of the Year honors at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
The Longhorn City Limits series is now entering its eighth consecutive season and once again will feature free live music before Texas home football games throughout the year.
And you won’t have to make the trip to Austin to catch Eli Young Band live. They’ll also be performing right here in Huntsville at The Jolly Fox on Friday, October 30 at 7 p.m., giving local country fans another chance to see one of Texas country music’s most recognizable bands close to home.
