In Huntsville Police news, looking back over the past several days:
Last Thursday, two thefts were reported, one in the 2700 block of Lake Road and the other in the 100 block of I-45 North. In the 1000 block of Pecan Drive two people assaulted one another. Tommy Leared was arrested for assault in family violence in the 200 block of Gail Lane. In the 100 block of Lakeridge Drive, Adam Saylor was arrested for failure to comply with registration requirements and evading.
On Friday, a storage unit was burglarized in the 3400 block of Powell Road. A vehicle was reported stolen in the 3600 block of Montgomery Road
On Saturday, a theft was reported in the 200 block of I-45 South. A residential burglary was investigated in the 2200 block of Sam Houston Avenue. In the 1000 block of MLK, Tommy Gonzalez was arrested for theft and public intoxication. In the 1500 block of 11th Street, David Serrano Jr. was arrested for failure to ID as a fugitive from Justice and public intoxication. In the 1300 block of 20th Street, Jada Mendoza was arrested for assault in family violence. In the 200 block of I-45 South, George Houston II was arrested for traffic offenses, possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence. In the 400 block of FM 4628, Ronald Writtenberry was arrested for evading in a vehicle, resisting and DWI.
On Sunday, a residential burglary was investigated in the 1200 block of Josey. In the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue, a known suspect threw a beverage on a person. In the 1300 block of Mesquite, Ebony Jenkins was arrested for public intoxication and assault in family violence.
