At the recent regular session of the Huntsville City Council, councilmembers considered approval of a Resolution in support of an application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for a 9% housing tax credit to fund the construction of Huntsville Lofts at Heaton Avenue and Highway 75 North.
Councilmember Bert Lyle asked City Planner Layne Yeager to explain the 9% housing tax credit.
Mr. Yeager said there would be $11 to $13 million in construction investment. There will be 39 to 49 units in the complex.
