Salaries are often a topic for conversation among corporate or government entities. Walker County is no exception. A presentation was made by the Management Advisory Group’s Don Long at the Monday session of County Commissioners Court in regard to a salary study. The last one was done in 2022.
Mr. Long told commissioners, “What we would do is exchange employee data—the names and job titles and current salary.” He said, “I suppose there’s been some increases and adjustments in the last four years. We just don’t know what they are right now.”
He went on to say,
Next, he said they would run a “transition cost.” Commissioners may discuss the study’s implementation at their next session.
