Beginning Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, the new main bridge at FM 1374 and IH 45 will open to traffic, allowing drivers to cross IH 45 between the east and west sides of town and make left turns onto the frontage roads.
All lanes will not be opened immediately as there is still ongoing work, but drivers will be able to use the bridge for through movements and improved connectivity. Both u-turn bridges will also return to their normal function and reopen to traffic.
New traffic signals have been installed at the intersection and will be activated as part of this change. Because of the new signals, TxDOT asks that drivers remain alert and be aware of the new lights. Operations will be monitored for time signal adjustments, and they advise drivers to be patient while the intersection undergoes any fine-tuning.
