Big changes will be coming to the intersection of IH 45 and FM 1374/Montgomery Road in Huntsville as crews prepare to demolish the existing bridge and build a brand-new one. To keep traffic flowing during construction, a temporary roundabout-style traffic pattern will be introduced using the newly built U-turn bridges.
The main bridge that crosses IH 45 at FM 1374 will be removed and replaced. While this work is underway, drivers will use a roundabout-style configuration (see map below) to move through the intersection. This setup will rely on the recently completed U-turn bridges to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently. Signage will be in place to guide drivers through the intersection.
