JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION

Juneteenth is ahead. The Huntsville Item reports there will be a comedy show Friday night at 7 at the Samuel Walker Cultural Center. Tickets are available at Lee Baron. Check in time for the barbecue cook-off is 7 AM Saturday. The Juneteenth celebration and parade with a “We shall overcome” theme will begin at 10 AM at the Cultural Center. Entry forms are available at Lee Baron. Following the parade at the MLK Center Emancipation Park there’ll be a short program. Gospel music will be featured at 4 PM at the MLK Community Center. There will be a trail ride at 3 PM.
