Our County departments continue to fine tune their operations to better function and serve the public. One of the several agenda items commissioners discussed in Walker County Commissioners Court Monday, was a review of the purchasing policy manual. County Purchasing Director Cheryl Cowart wanted to be on the “same page,” so-to-speak, and be helpful to commissioners.
In reviewing the purchasing policy manual to commissioners, she pointed out the importance of her possession of any contracts dealt with by them.
She commented on other aspects of the policy. There was a general consensus of agreement among the court that there was a need to cooperate on the contract issue.
