Community Impact reports that several events have been planned in Conroe and Montgomery now and through the weekend.
At the Crighton Theatre in Conroe Stage Right is offering performances of “Buddy: The Buddy Holley Story.” If you didn’t know, Holley was a famous rock musician in the 50’s. Tickets begin at $20 with performances scheduled for April 12th and 13th at 7:30 PM and April 14th at 2 pm at the Crighton at 234 North Main Street. For tickets and info, go to crightontheatre.org.
In Montgomery at 14420 Liberty Street, live music, handmade products, food trucks and beverages will be offered in a sip-and stroll event in historic Montgomery. The free admission event is scheduled for April 11th from 4;30 to 7:30 PM. For more Montgomery events go to visitmontgomerytexas.com.
In Conroe, at the Lone Star Convention Center at 9055 Airport Road, over 120 vendors will be on hand at the Montgomery County Funky Junque Market. At the market one can find gourmet food items, women’s and children’s clothing, hand made and fashion jewelry, holiday and garden décor and fashion trucks. The free event is slated for Saturday, April 13th from 9 AM to 4 PM.
At First Methodist Church at 4308 West Davis Street in Conroe a spaced-theme concert will be presented by the Conroe Symphony Orchestra. The concert features Gustav Holst’s “Jupiter” from “The Planets,” Richard Strauss’s “Also Sprach Zarathustra” and the “Star Wars” theme by John Williams. It gets underway at 2:30 PM this Saturday.
