Community Impact reports that as Conroe ISD looks at what could comprise a November 7 referendum, it’s Bond Planning Committee got together on three occasions in February to review the needs and recommendations of the District.
In a committee vote, they came out on putting together a bond proposal with priorities like keeping up with student growth by way of new facilities and other improvements.
According to a news release from the District, their 67 schools are now operating at around 102 % capacity.
Recommendations being looked at include the construction of a new high school in the Conroe High School feeder zone, a ninth grade campus and a new elementary school for Caney Creek High School, a campus for the 7 through 9th grades in the Grand Oaks High School feeder zone, and in the Conroe feeder zone, a new junior high school.
