Walker County Fair and Rodeo Schedule & Highlights

The Walker County Fair and Rodeo in Huntsville bring 9 days of community spirit and fun to the fairgrounds starting Friday, March 27th. This major event brings the community and region to the fairgrounds day and night March 27th to April 4th. This event includes rodeos, livestock shows, auctions, carnival fun, live music, county fair competition, a domino tournament, and barbecue cook-off. Many local students participate in agricultural, artistic, and academic competitions.
Highlights include:
- KSAM Booth: midway Friday & Saturday, March 27-28, 4 to 7pm: KSAM Bull Shirts (Hornet green & Bulldog maroon)
- PRCA Professional Rodeo: Friday & Saturday, March 27-28, at 7pm.
- Carnival, Ag Projects, Livestock, Children’s Barn/Petting Zoo: March 27-April 4
- Chuckwagon Dinner Scholarship Fundraiser: Friday & Saturday, March 27-28, at 5:30pm. BBQ chicken Friday. Ribeye steak Saturday
- Kick Off Dance: Saturday, March 28, 8pm. With Rick Trevino & guest Jarrod Sterrett
- Mutton Busting: Children ages 4-7. Saturday, March 28, 10am
- Youth Rodeo: Sunday, March 29th, 9am. Ages 8 and under to 19. Barrel racing, pole bending, roping, goat tying & more
- Academic Rodeo: Sunday, March 29th, 1pm. Kindergarten to 8th grade. Writing Contest, Spelling Bee, Math Bee
- Barrel Racing: Tuesday, March 31st. Exhibition 4 to 7pm. Competition: 7:30pm
- Youth Livestock Judging: Friday, April 3rd, 1pm
