Opening the Vault at the Presidential Libraries

The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station has opened a landmark exhibit of original American documents rarely seen outside of Washington, D.C. The exhibit – Opening the Vault at the Presidential Libraries – opened March 9^th and continues to April 12^th. This National Archives exhibit is part of the celebration of the 250^th anniversary of American Independence. Documents include the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, the official end to the Mexican-American War;  the gift deed for the Statue of Liberty, both from the 1800s; and others.
