Sam Houston State University Soccer’s home opener will have to wait. The Bearkats were set to take on the University of Houston Cougars last night in their home opener, but lightning delays kept the teams from being able to get the match started. The Bearkats were looking to keep their momentum against the Cougars going coming off of their upset victory over them last year. The game was called after about an hour and a half of delays and the new home opener is set for August 28th at 7 p.m.
