Community Impact reports that at Willis ISD’s August 19th Board of Trustees meeting they okayed calling for $115.4 million in bond issues to be on the November 5th ballot.
According to Superintendent Kimberley James the board unanimously gave the go-ahead for adoption of the order following discussions with the community.
The November 5th bond package contains three propositions that voters did not pass in May.
The propositions include Proposition A, a $27 million student activity center; Proposition B, a $68.8 million athletic complex and stadium with community room and Proposition C, a $19.6 million aquatic center.
The only proposition approved in May was for a Willis High School ninth grade expansion with parking lot upgrades and a new transportation center.
