Walker County Commissioners meet for a regular session at nine this morning at the courthouse.
Commissioners will:
–Discuss possible action on the approval of the County Court at Law reporter salary to be equal to that of the 12th and 278th District Court reporters salary for the budget year 2024-25.
–Receive an update from the Small Business Administration on disaster assistance.
–Talk about taking action on an Interlocal Agreement between Walker County and Polk County to provide inmate housing and an agreement between Walker County and San Jacinto County to provide inmate housing.
–Receive the certified estimates and preliminary calculation of the No-New-Revenue tax rate and Voter-Approval Tax Rate from the Walker County Appraisal District.
–Discuss and take action to designate the Walker County Appraisal District to calculate the final No-New-Revenue tax rate and Voter-Approval tax rate.
–Discuss possible action on applying for the 2025 County Feral Hog Grant.
–Talk about taking action on the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Imposition of Optional Fees for Calendar Year 2025.
