In Huntsville Police News, looking back over the past few days:
Last Friday, police investigated a terroristic threat reported in the 1000 block of 10th Street. A firearm was reported stolen in the 200 block of Wood Street. A known suspect was reported to have assaulted a child in the 1100 block of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway. Merchandise was reported stolen in the 1700 block of 11th Street. In a case of criminal mischief in the 1400 block of University Drive, property was damaged by an unknown person. In the 1500 block of 11th Street, Akia Crowder was arrested for unlawful use of a motor vehicle, vehicle burglary, two counts of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and evading arrest.
On Saturday, Huntsville PD assisted the Office of Inspector General with an arrest at I-45 and Morgan Lane. An unknown driver of a vehicle stuck another vehicle in the 2700 block of 11th Street and fled the scene. In the 2100 block of Sam Houston Avenue, two vehicles were involved in an accident one driver left the scene. In a domestic report in the 900 block of McLeod Drive, two known people touched each other offensively. At the 116 mile marker on I-45 Southbound, John Nguyen was arrested for racing on a highway and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
On Sunday, a cell phone and wallet were reported stolen in the 2700 block of 11th Street. A known suspect assaulted a person at Wal Mart. Known persons assaulted one another in the 3300 block of Elks Drive. In the 3400 block of Montgomery Road, Michelle Alsalti was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Frederick Walker was arrested in the 600 block of State Highway 19 for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
