We talked with FEMA Media Relations Specialist Latanga Hopes this week about what the agency was offering to people who were victims of the recent storms and floods in our area.
One of the areas of help she filled us in on had to do with taking the offered programs directly to people. They have been covering a wide multi-county area.
And in regard to the distributions of FEMA funds during this recent endeavor, she told us:
A Disaster Recovery Center is currently in operation at the Walker County Storm Shelter.
