The Huntsville City Council will meet for a regular session this evening at six at the Staggs Community Room at the Huntsville Public Library at 1219 13th Street.
Previous to the meeting, at 5 o’clock, they will a have a Workshop where the Director of Development Services, Kevin Byal, will direct discussion of possible amendments to the Huntsville Development code to include additional zoning districts.
Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes the consideration of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for and accept, if awarded, funding under the Fiscal Year 2023 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
Planner Layne Yeager will lead the discussion on tonight’s “Statutory Agenda,” where councilmembers will consider authorizing the City Manager to enter into a 40-year, Fixed Based Operation, lease agreement with Huntsville Aviation to provide aeronautical services at the Bruce Brothers Huntsville Regional Airport.
City Engineer Kathlie Jeng-Bulloch will talk about authorizing the City Manager to award the construction for the 12-inch waterline on I-45 Segment 2A Utility Relocation Project in Huntsville.
