Community Impact reported that there are a number of events coming in February to Conroe.
Rodeo season is ahead, and the annual Scholarship Chili Cook-Off put on by the Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo will be getting underway. It’ll happen at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on Airport Road in Conroe. There’s no admission charge. The cookoff starts at 7. At noon, they’ll have the Taster’s Choice competition and live music.
If you want to learn to play disc golf, a free clinic will be offered by the City of Conroe Parks & Recreation Department on February 10th at 9 AM. It takes place at the Madeley Pavilion in Owen Park in Conroe.
West Side Story will be featured beginning February 9th with several following performances. It will be at the Crighton Theatre in Conroe. For Ticket prices, dates and times go to their website at Crightontheatre.org.
If you enjoy parades, everyone is invited to watch the floats and horse back riders go by at the 59th Annual Go Texan Parade in downtown Conroe. It happens February 17th from 1 to 3 PM.
The 11th Annual Montgomery County History Road Rally put on by the local historical commission cruises through the Woodlands and South Montgomery County area solving clues. Start time is 12 noon at Lamar Elementary School in The Woodlands. For ticket prices and registration go to montgomerycountyhistorical commission.org. It’s on February 17th.
A concert featuring western and TV music, performed by the Conroe Symphony Orchestra, takes place Feburay 17th at 2:30 PM at the First Methodist Church in Conroe. $25 for adults, $10 for children.
A Daddy-Daughter dance for daughters and dads 4 and up is being put on by the City of Conroe on February 17 from 6 to 9 PM at the Hyatt Regency in Conroe. To register and for ticket costs go to cityofconroe.org.
Featuring 2,000 participating custom cars, the Lone Star Throwdown will be held February 23rd to 25th from 8 to 5 at the Lone Star Expo Center and Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Conroe. Vehicle registration is sold out but spectator wristbands are $20.
The free Big Top Shopping Festival featuring everything from clothing to gourmet food happens February 24th and 25th from 9 to five at Heritage Place on Collins in Conroe.
