At last Monday’s regular Walker County Commissioners’ Court session, commissioners took part in a discussion regarding taking action on an agreement with Walker County Emergency Services District #1 for EMS Services in the Riverside Area. They had a long and comprehensive discussion. Briefly looking at a few of the major issues in regard to doing this, first, EMS Director Rachel Parker told commissioners:

Ms. Parker commented on the logistics and employee configurations of ESD #1’s plans to commissioners and also that she recommended more than one EMS person working. It was recommended that Ms. Parker and Ms. Olson come back at the next Commissioners’ meeting with a mutually established plan regarding, finances, equipment and possible building sites.
