The City of Huntsville has been in communication with their surface water supplier, Trinity River Authority, concerning the recent issues with their Taste and Odor treatment system at their plant. Since correcting the most recent issue, they are in the process of implementing several redundant systems to monitor Taste and Odor and inspect their treatment equipment responsible for Taste and Odor quality. They are also adding levels of monitoring and documentation to their process. By implementing these procedures, they have several overlapping approaches to not only prevent but also detect this issue, should it happen in the future. At this time, there are not any restrictions on water use.
The City is sorry for the inconvenience this has caused their customers and appreciate everyone’s patience through this process.
